Tamagotchi

It’s 2025, and the times are tough. It’s no wonder that many millennials and Zoomers are feeling nostalgic for a seemingly simpler, less chaotic era—the turn of the millennium. The year 2000. When life just felt…easier. We didn't know it or have the words to describe it, but the best thing we were doing to care for our mental health was caring for our little digital pets. Remember them? Let's get back to feeding our mental health by feeding our Tamagotchis.

Feed Your Digital Pet, Nurture Yourself

Nostalgia is making a comeback. Y2K fashion, the return of flip phones, a hearkening back to that earlier time. We all need a little escape every now and then, and Tamagotchi is the perfect cure for the modern malaise. You’re not just feeding an adorable pixelated egg creature, you’re nurturing a part of yourself as well. That little beep coming from your Tamagotchi is a call for you to take a moment to destress.

Tamagotchis are social creatures. They thrive on nurturance, support, and love. And guess what? So do you. We live in a world of social media and online communication. Sometimes, though, we’re a little too online, and we need to “touch grass.” Which is another way of saying “take a break from doomscrolling and play with your Tamagotchi.”

Uh oh, you’ve been doomscrolling Instagram again. Guess what just popped up on your feed? Your reminder for another very important “feed,” your hungry virtual buddy. It will help you destress for a moment, too.

Head over to Discord to join in on the egg-hatching fun and potentially win a prize! If you are the last person to give the hatching egg a “push,” not only will you enjoy the sight of a brand new Tamagotchi hatching, you’ll receive a surprise gift.

Welcome to Tama-Con

A Giant Egg Cracked Open at Comic Con—And Out Walked a Tamagotchi.

Tamagotchi took over Comic Con last weekend with one of the most delightfully bizarre stunts on the floor: a giant egg that slowly cracked open to reveal a human-sized Tamagotchi, wobbling out to greet the crowd like it had just time-traveled from 1997.

Dubbed “Tama-Con” by fans, the booth blended peak ‘90s nostalgia with surreal performance art—and attendees could not get enough. Visitors lined up to snap photos with the freshly “unhatched” Tamagotchi, pick up exclusive merch, and relive their childhoods in a pixelated, pastel haze.

It wasn’t just a photo op—it was a full-on rebirth of the beloved virtual pet brand, complete with beeps, throwback charm, and the kind of chaotic joy only Tamagotchi could deliver.

For a few hours, in the middle of Comic Con’s madness, one thing was clear: Tamagotchi is alive, well, and walking among us.

And she’s hatched! Welcome to the world, buddy! Enjoy the wonder that is Comic Con.

You won’t believe how far a little nostalgia can go in bettering your day, brightening your mood, and bringing a much-needed smile to your face. In a world of constant stress, uncertainty, and rush, take the opportunity to reconnect with an old digital friend. By playing with and feeding your Tamagotchi, you’re doing a more profound thing than you realize: you’re caring for your own mental health.
